Children’s Halloween Costumes: Making Costume without spending

Halloween is fast approaching. Even at an early time, say a season away, many people are already thinking, “What will my kids wear for Halloween this year?” It may be simple for some, but for others it is such a difficult task that planning and actual creation of the Halloween costume necessitates the aid of other people.

Traditionally, the wearing of Halloween costumes was far simpler. They actually found the things they need to use in creating their costumes at their homes. However, for the last few decades, Halloween costumes for kids have become sophisticated and expensive. These are the eras of the famous character costumes. Parents shell out big amount of money for costumes of the Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers or some gruesome life size version of Chucky.

Every year, more and more parents are making costumes for their children. For them, they could save a lot of money and their children will surely like it since they could employ the assistance of their children making them feel a part of the project.

Parents do not really have to sew their children Halloween costumes. For those parents who neither have the time nor the skills to sew a Halloween costume, all they need is some imagination and they’re off.

. Tic Tac Toe Board Costume

Ask your child to wear an all black sweats and a shirt. Using a white bandage tape, make a board of a tic tac toe on his or her shirt. In addition, use different colors or perhaps the same tape to make your child’s O’s and X’s.

. Got Milk? Advertisement

Create a mustache using milk with Zinc Oxide. Ask your child to carry an empty milk box. Using a black marker, write on a white shirt the phrase- Got Milk?

. Costume of Sleep Walker

Let your child wear his or her slippers, pajamas and robe. Ask him or her to carry a teddy bear or a curler while walking at the street for trick or treats.

. “Box” Costume

Dress your child with shirt and a pair of brown pants. Get a big box and cut large holes on it for his arms and head. Just paste or draw some designs on the surface of the box , say a cereal box design.

. Chalkboard Costume

Dress up your son or daughter with a shirt and green sweats. Then, get a baseball cap wherein you could attach an eraser. Ask you child to carry a chalk with him or her so that people can write on the green sweats.

. Dog Costume

Usually, this includes a pair of pants and a black sweat shirt with a hood. Attach a black sock on each sides of the hood to be used as a floppy ear. Cover your child’s both hands and feet with sock so that paws will come out. Use your eyeliner and put it in your child’s whiskers and nose. To make it more appealing, include a toy bone or a chew toy.

. Laundry Basket

Cut the base of your laundry basket. Ask your child to get inside the basket. Let him hold it or make suspenders to hold the basket for child. Put some piece of clothes on your child’s tummy, neck and arms.

With these Halloween costume ideas, you need not spend a big amount. Though it may not appear scary but your child will surely like it. Just make your imagination and creativity work for a while and you’ll be free of any charges.

Halloween can be celebrated without spending too much for the costumes of your children. It does not really have to be that sophisticated. What matters is that you still made a wonderful Halloween possible for your child through your fantastic creations.
